We are seeking a professional, Japanese-speaking individual currently located in Japan to serve as a local representative.

The primary objective of this project is to:

Visit the zoo office (Ichikawa City Zoo) in person and formally deliver a written letter regarding Punch’s need for cuddling, protection, and welfare clarification.

This is a short-term, time-sensitive assignment requiring professionalism, discretion, and strong communication skills.

Primary Objective (Phase 1 – Required)
Within the first few days of the contract, the selected freelancer must:
Print and deliver a prepared letter (in Japanese) to the zoo office
Request confirmation of receipt
Politely inquire which department handles animal welfare inquiries
Record the name and title of the staff member who accepts the letter (if provided)
Take discreet notes of any verbal response
Provide a detailed written report in English
No confrontation. No escalation. This is a formal, respectful delivery.

Secondary Objective (Phase 2 – If Needed)
If no response is received after the visit:
Send a follow-up email
Make one professional follow-up phone call
Provide call notes and summary
Translate any official reply

Deliverables
Confirmation of zoo visit (date & time)
Name/title of staff who received letter (if available)
Detailed written summary (English)
Translation of responses
Follow-up documentation (if required)

Requirements
Currently located in Japan (Chiba area preferred)
Native or fluent Japanese
Strong written English reporting ability
Comfortable interacting with administrative staff
